Gonvarri Solar Steel, a leading Spanish company in the design and supply of solar trackers and fixed structures, will present its AgriPV by Solar Steel solutions during the Key – The Energy Transition fair, which will take place from 5th to 7th March in Rimini, Italy.
At its stand C3.245, the company will showcase a semi-real scale version of one of its two agrivoltaic solutions, developed in response to the growing demand for sustainable practices in the energy sector. This approach is gaining momentum not only in Italy but also in Germany and France, with a strong presence expected soon in Spain.
The presentations will include its 1P solution and the agrivoltaic 2P Compact version, both of which have the potential to transform the company’s paradigm in the sector. Italy is emerging as a target market in the coming years, where Gonvarri Solar Steel has already begun implementing several projects successfully.
Additionally, the company will highlight the TracSmarT+ System, a key tool for addressing its clients’ specific needs, offering flexibility that sets it apart from current market solutions. This solar tracking system automatically directs the trackers to optimise their orientation according to the sun’s position.
Advantages in a growing agrivoltaic market
According to the company, having this control system provides a wide range of possibilities, allowing field users to modify and adjust the different positions and rotation angles according to agricultural tasks and crop stages.
The system can be adjusted to a near-horizontal stow position or a maximum angle that allows agricultural machinery to pass through for essential tasks such as plowing, mowing, sowing, and harvesting. Furthermore, the tracking angles are carefully managed according to agricultural needs, with specific limitations for livestock and crop cultivation.
Seasonal adjustments ensure optimal performance, considering factors such as the type of animals and the varying conditions in summer, spring, and winter. Additionally, it offers 1 to 4 fully adaptable free positions, a stow position, and a self-cleaning position, incorporating an advanced data analysis system for predictive maintenance, anticipating potential issues, and avoiding costly disruptions in the field.
The case of Italy
Gonvarri Solar Steel’s AgriPV solutions stand out for their high adaptability to current height regulations, allowing various configurations for both agriculture and livestock. Moreover, their design facilitates access for large machinery during crop cleaning tasks, thus optimising operational efficiency.
Italy has been no exception, and the company continues to commit to the regulations in this market to adapt its solutions and offer flexible service. It complies with requirements such as over 70% agricultural area, a minimum height of 2.1 metres for crops and 1.3 metres for livestock, as well as monitoring systems.
A local team
Attendees will be able to visit stand C3.245 at the Fiera di Rimini, where members of the Management, Sales, and Communication teams, including Jon Moja Velasco (CSO), Ignacio Aybar (CBO), Fernando Micó (CBDO), and Marcos Voces Domínguez (MarCom Manager), will offer a unique experience and a series of surprises throughout the fair.
