Solar Steel announces the supply of 31MW of its RackSmarT® structure for 11 new projects in Colombia

Madrid, 7 July 2020. Solar Steel, a division of Gonvarri Industries, has agreed the supply of eleven new projects in Colombia for its RackSmarT® fixed solar structure, extending the company’s track record in this country by another 31MW.

The projects are under construction and located in the departments of Antioquia, Risaralda, Cauca, Valle del Cauca, Tolima, Córdoba, Cundinamarca y Casanare.

The structures for those projects have been fully manufactured in Gonvarri MS Colombia, manufacturing plant of Gonvarri group located in Medellin city.
Considering these projects, Solar Steel will have provided its structures in 22 photovoltaic plants in Colombia totaling 95MW, positioning itself as one of the prominent leaders in the country.

Apart from its local manufacturing capabilities, Solar Steel provides added-value services such as structural engineering, Pull-out tests, supervision activities during the construction and mechanical installation, based on local resources available in Medellin. These aspects are essential when providing key differentiating aspects in the Colombian market.
