Solar Steel supplies 13 MW of its TracSmarT Single Axis tracker for the La Independencia Project in El Salvador

Madrid, 10 may 2017. Solar Steel, division of Gonvarri Steel Services is supplying 13 MW of its TracSmart Single-Axis tracker for “La Independencia” PV Project located in El Salvador.

Along with its costs effectiveness, TracSmarT single-row tracker minimizes installation time and cost with wide installation tolerances reducing the land leveling and provides one of the lowest piles/MW ratios in the market.

For this project, Solar Steel will supply its cabling solution that allows string wiring to run within the tracker torque tube. Also supplied in this project, the state of the art self-powered system along with wireless communication which will simplify installation tasks reducing material, trenches and labor costs.

TracSmarT system reduces the environmental impact shortening the installation time to record figures. Solar Steel distinguishes itself by integrating in house all processes in the value chain, from the coil to the steel structure fully installed on site.
